Spoilers380 is a project led by a group of professional airliner pilots whose aim is to merge the aviation and motoring worlds, thus resulting in enjoyable and practical machines that portray a particular lifestyle, whilst at the same time being a sound financial investment.
As pilots we have to have a natural understanding and interest of machinery, technology and travel. Consequently as a result of many years flying experience to different spots around the globe, we have developed our own particular philosophy of a lifestyle shaped and enhanced by our own highly technical world of aviation and our constant continuing exposure to many different cultures.
From flying we have to think in terms of safety, security and efficiency because of the highly sophisticated and expensive machinery we use on a daily bases and from traveling we have learned cultural heritage, lifestyle and different environments. This we believe gives us a unique prospective on the car “you should be seen in”.
Therefore our “aviation approach” to the classic car market is one that demands very high mechanical, maintenance and standards of personal philosophy.
The two concepts of technology and culture must go hand in hand, to prove that a car is not only a working tool but also a sculpture to be admired. It can be practical as well as pleasing on the eye and if maintained to the proper standards can also be a very enjoyable, usable, sound financial investment.
A classic car speaks highly of its owner´s standards and tastes and the combination of unusual tasteful style, a perfectly tuned machine, and the ability to stand out from the crowd in an unassuming fashion allows you to project your own personal image by choosing the right model for your life.
We believe that classic cars from the late ´60s, ´70s and early ´80s make very good usable daily drivers when properly maintained and preserved while at the same time continuing to be a sensible financial option. Our goal is to find these cars, restore them to a highly practical mechanical standard, but at the same time striving to preserve their originality and patina. At present our main focus are Mercedes Benz and Citroen DS models from this period. Although we specialise in these particular marks we intend to expand with several interesting ongoing projects.
